When an online booking is canceled by a client from the Client Portal, Pet Sitter Plus performs several functions immediately:



1. In the schedule, the canceled job is changed from a "scheduled job" to a "cancelled job". To see the canceled job on the schedule:

  • Click on the drop-down selecting "Cancelled Jobs Only"

  • Choose the date that the job was originally scheduled on

  • Click "Show Report"

Navigation: CLIENTS > click on the client record > ORDERS

2. In the service order on the client record: ​

  • You will see that the visit is now in grey type, and has been prefixed by the word "Cancelled"

  • The charge and compensation for the job have been reduced to zero

(Note that you may still edit the charge and/or compensation for the canceled job if, for instance, you need to add a cancellation fee for the service. To edit the charge/compensation for the canceled visit, select the visit, click "Edit Jobs," enter the appropriate charge/compensation, then click "Update." 3. On the client schedule in the Client Portal: 

  • From the Schedule tab in the portal, you will see that the visit is now in grey type

  • If clicked, it will show 'Cancelled' along with more details of the visit (time, pet sitter)

Canceled jobs can show in Staff/Client Schedules for 0 days (never show), 1-5 days prior to service start date, or they can be configured to always show on the schedule. 4. On the Staff schedule (mobile view): 

  • In the list of scheduled visits for the pet sitter, you will see the visit is now in grey type

  • The visit also has the word "Cancelled" under the client name

5. On the Staff schedule (desktop view): 

  • In the list of scheduled visits for the pet sitter, you will see the visit is now in grey type

  • It is also followed by the word 'Cancelled'
