In Pet Sitter Plus you can use "Time Blocks" as an additional means by which to schedule services. The Time Blocks feature enables administrators to define multiple blocks of time for each service item defined in their price list.
Controlling Client Expectations when Scheduling Services Online
Time blocks are most useful when implemented to support online scheduling within the client portal. When a client is ordering a service online, if they choose a service that is configured with "time blocks", then they are offered a selection of one or more time blocks as opposed to being able to specify an exact time to suit themselves. Time blocks make it more clear that a service will be delivered within the indicated time frame as opposed to at a specific time. This makes it easier to control client expectations relating to the time of service delivery.
Time Blocks can be set up however you want, eg. in 30 minute blocks, hourly, 2-hourly etc or a mixture.
Once a time block has been specified by the client, the service will normally be scheduled at a time represented by the mid point of the time block. However the scheduler is further able to change the specific time of the service to indicate to the sitter an earlier or a later time to start the service within the time block.
The scheduler also has the option to "not show" the time at all, in which case only the time block will show which indicates to the sitter that they can decide to start the service at any time within the boundaries of the time block.
