< Service Attributes < Default Compensation
Pet Sitter Plus provides employers with a means to calculate staff pay on a fixed or variable compensation amount for each service they perform.
The compensation amount can:

vary according to the type of service.

either be a fixed amount or a percentage of the charge rate.

vary according to a number of other factors such as the time of day that the service is performed. For more information about variable compensation amounts see Compensation Conditions.
ON DESKTOP:
Navigate to Admin > Services > Service Items
STEP 1
How do I set a default compensation amount?

Click on the service item you wish to edit.
STEP 2
Decide which method suits you best. Either:

To pay a fixed amount (for example) 10.00. Do not use a currency prefix such as $ or £. Numbers should have two decimal places, OR
-
To pay a percentage, eg. 50%. If using a percentage, the amount of compensation will be calculated as a percentage of the value set in the default charge.

Click in the Default Compensation option and type in the amount.

Click "Update" to save.
Note: If you are a solo business, you can ignore this function and leave default compensation set to zero.
ON MOBILE:

Tap the Navigator, and select Admin > Services > Service Items

Tap the service you wish to edit.
