< Advanced Service Attributes < Service Item Resource Cost

The resource cost function is connected with the operation of the Planner. If a service is related to home boarding, day care or overnights and needs to be tracked in the planner, then by entering a number greater than zero, the service will be tracked.

 

The rules are:

  • A number greater than zero means this item will be tracked in the planner. (Entering zero means that it won't be).

  • Entering 1 will mean that each time the service item is scheduled in a service order, the planner total for the day will be incremented by 1. For example if you enter "1" in resource cost (for example a service item of "home boarding for 1 dog"), then each time this service is scheduled, the total number in the planner for the day against the pet sitter assigned the work will be 1.

  • Likewise, entering a 2 (for a service item of "home boarding for 2 dogs"), will mean that each time this service is scheduled, the total number in the planner for the day against the pet sitter assigned the work will be 2.

ON DESKTOP:

Navigate to Admin > Services > Service Items > Advanced

How do I change the resource cost?

  • Click on the service item you wish to edit.

  • Click "Advanced" from the menu.

  • In the "Resource Cost" panel, leave at '0', or change to '1' or '2' etc.

  • Click "Update" to save.

  • Tap the Navigator, and select Admin > Services > Service Items > Advanced
